so cute!

I love this! I got one for myself and one for my mom and mother in law for Christmas (when my mom saw mine she asked if one was perhaps wrapped up for her!).

I have mine in a window that gets direct sunlight and it spins for at least 4 hours a day on a sunny day. My mom and MIL had to work a little harder to find a sunny enough spot, so theirs doesn't spin as long each day (may be better in the summer). They still enjoy it, though.

You can adjust the angle of the solar panel on top, which is nice. It doesn't store up any energy - as soon as you put your hand in front of the panel it stops. I do like that you can see the little gears spinning inside.

Still though - very pretty and I would buy it again. It's maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but I like it!

Nice gift

My son received this as a gift. He enjoys the multi-rainbows rotating around the room. I thought it was a cool gift that I ended up buying the rainbow maker for two other kids. The suction and the motor rotating the crystal work well. Haven't had any issues with it.

Happy homecoming

When I get home on a sunny day and walk in the door, a lovely light comes flying by me. Sometimes I think it's an insect, but they don't make me smile like the rainbow maker!

Fun, but make sure you have lots of sunshine

This gadget will do exactly what it says it will do, but only if you have a window through which the sun shines for an extended time. When full sunlight falls directly on the little panel, little rainbows do indeed spin around the room in a delightful fashion. I think this would be a fun toy or gift for someone who likes sun-catchers and wind-chimes and the like.

Don't waste your money

I tried this on several different windows it never worked, though there was plenty of bright sunlight hitting it. There were no rainbows. I gave the 2nd one I purchased to my Daughter for a gift, and hers didn't work either.
